SHINJUKU MARUI ONE - Kasu Kobo Introduction

Kasu Kobo

For this edition the interviews were conducted at the end of May, and each brand recommended items for the summer.
Please note that the information you see here is liable to change.

A store that stays true to the traditional values of Japan, epitomized by 'iki (粋)', which means to be sophisticated while also being seductive. To enjoy life in an 'iki' way you must respect Japan's traditional culture and the many art forms that have been loved by the Japanese. That is because 'iki' could not have developed without the arts and natural landscapes of Japan. Kasu Kobo provides accessories infused with love for Japan.

Not specifically to do with fashion (unless you make it that way).

The Japanese band Motocompo are playing a gig at the Virgin Megastore in the Arndale Centre (that's Manchester for the uninitiated) on May 21st. It starts at 6pm and is FREE! Steve (if you know him) and I may make a night of it but we're not sure yet because it's a Monday and Monday's suck.

Anyways, for those of you that have Facebook, I have created a group on it for nw_jfashion. Please find it at this link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2256719878&ref=mf

I think it should be quite effective because we have the option of adding photos, as well as a list of members by picture and a forum. Hope to see you all there

YES ASIA / YES STYLE

Hello to all you dandy! 8D

Those Japanese music/movie fans among us may be all too familiar with the likes of Yes Asia and their line of business. But for those (like myself!) who are slow at catching on to things, I recently discovered Yes Style! A fashion website created and run by the same creators of Yes Asia!

Now, I know it's not so great as CD Japan's deal with SEXPOT ReVeNGe or Moi-Meme-Moitie, but for those more interested in the casual styles of Japan (and other areas of Asia!) I recommend a look in! Some brands are pricey, but others are not so bad~ And shipping prices are not all that bad either =)

Toodles~!

Yes Style! Yes Style! Yes Style!

Manchester's Affleck's Palace TOKYO ROYALE & Upcoming VK Nights

Hello NW_JFashioners!

I'm sorry, I'm a really awful maintainer of this community, so I do apologise. But welcome to everyone that's joined! :D I'm actually not supposed to be online right now, so please forgive this quick message.

Recently I went to Manchester (with university friends, nothing jfashion related, sorry!) and we found this shop: TOKYO ROYALE. However I know nothing about lolita fashion at all (not my interest), but I think the more Japanese fashion is available in the UK, the better! :]

Also they did mention they were thinking of starting Jrock/Visual Kei nights in Manchester, as they both have DJing experience! Just thought everyone here would be interested in either one of these facts.

Thanks for reading!
